Alustretch aluminium stretcher bars are museum quality, made to suit the needs of professional artists and have a finely honed and easy-to-use design.
Made to measure at any size, they are warp free, and can be delivered complete or in kit form. Stretching is simple thanks to the built in wooden inlay. With the possibility of a wide variety of surface preparations, tension is achieved through a system of screws located at each corner and the ends of each cross-bar, all designed to provide maximum adjustability. Our stretcher bars are made from 80% recycled aluminum, they will not warp or twist. The bars are easy to put together and disassemble, and feature adjustable tension design.
Alustretch, founded in Vienna, has led the field in the design and manufacture of aluminum stretchers in Europe since 1990. Chris Ofili, Peter Doig, Herbert Brandl, Carsten Nicolai, Simon Ling, Hubert Schmalix and Lisa Ruyter are among the many artists from around the globe who regularly use Alustretch stretchers for their work. Alustretch is world premiere manufacturer of adjustable stretcher bars.
